Something that I’ve been working on behind the scenes for the past week or so is getting in touch with The Mighty and seeing about us partnering with them. And guess what?

It’s happened!

I’m thrilled to share with all of you that the Canadian BFRB Support Network is now partnered with The Mighty! One of the reasons I wanted to do this was because of the support the BFRB community received from The Mighty over awareness week this year and because more and more BFRBers are sharing their stories with the website. With their wide-reaching readership, we’ll be able to do even more to break the stigma.

We will now have a growing home page on The Mighty and appear on many stories on the site.

For those unfamiliar, the “Mighty is a story-based health community focused on improving the lives of people facing disease, disorder, mental illness and disability.” Their goal is to publish real stories about people facing these challenges since so many people across the globe face these issues.

Our blogs here at CBSN work on the same premise, and we’d love if you continue to share your stories with us as well. However, please also feel free to head over to The Mighty and check out what information and stories they have about dermatillomania and trichotillomania.
